Here at Quantock Glamping we want your stay to be as easy and stress free as possible. Therefore we thought we would put together some video’s on how to use the Hot Tub, Wood Oven and Firepit aswell as what you can expect when you arrive on site!
Arrival FAQ;s
What do I bring with me ?
We want your stay to be as hassle-free and relaxing as possible, so we provide the key ingredients to help you do glamping really, really well.
However, there are a few things that you’ll need to bring with you. First up and most importantly, don’t forget to pack your adventurous spirit!
CHECKLIST
Food & drink. You can arrange a delivery from most of the major supermarkets for the day you arrive. Don’t forget the marshmallows!
Cleaning scourer , J cloths, Extra drying up cloth, tin foil – not essential but great for baking potatoes in the embers of your fire pit, Clip-its or zip-lock bags to keep open foods airtight, Torch.
Am I free to come and go as I wish at any times ?
Yes feel free to come and go as you wish. You have your own access and all we ask is that you close the entrance gate behind you (Codes will be provided for the electric gates).
How many keys will I get ?
1 key will be provided for your stay and placed in the locked key safe for you to access on your arrival.
How many parking spaces are there ?
We have plenty of space so parking is no problem. There are spaces signed out for the Owls Roost parking.
What should I do if I lose the key ? Is there a fee to replace.
If you lose the key provided please contact us on 01278 663761 or stay@quantockglamping.co.uk and we will let you have the spare key. There will be a small charge of £10 to cover a replacement.
Is the track lite up ?
Yes there are evening lights along the track. We are in a very rural area so this will guide you to the Owls Roost after dark. There are also lights around the hut to assist.
Hot tub FAQ’s
Once I filled it once, do I have to drain and fill each time to use ?
No the Tub will be cleaned and empty on arrival and therefore the fresh water you put in will be good for the period of you stay. We would just ask that you open the tab to let the water out of the Tub before you leave.
Will the water continue to get hotter when I’m in it ?
Yes as long as the wood burner has fuel in it and the fire is going it will continue to get hot. When the lids are removed during use it will also lose heat so it’s a good idea to keep the fire ticking over whilst in use to keep the temperature at a pleasant level. Please refer to our hot tub safety guidelines for safe use temperatures.
Once the fire goes out how long will it stay hot ?
If you replace the lids on the tub after use it will maintain some good heat. Therefore if you wish to use the next day the warm up time will be much shorter.
Should I drain the water on departure ?
Yes please drain before you leave. Open the tab on the back of the tub and it will drain.

Hot Tub Pre -Heat, Recommended in the Winter! If you are staying and would like we can sometimes offer a pre-heat service, where we can heat the hot tub water for you so it's steaming hot for 4pm check in time. There is a £29 charge for this.
Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to use the hot tubs due to the risk of them overheating. Please read our full safety guidelines here Hot Tub Safety — Quantock Glamping
Wood Oven FAQ’s
Do I leave the fire to go out on its own ?
Yes the fire will die out over a few hours after the last logs are put on. There is no need to do anything other then pop the door on the over after use.
How do I clean the ashes from the initial light up so my food doesn’t get dirty ?
Once the fire is lit push the fire and ash to the back of the oven. The brush provided with the wood over keeps the cooking surface clean for the pizza cooking.

General FAQ’s
Can I have guests ?
We request that no more then 2 quests are on site at any time. These guest are the ones named on the booking.
How far is the nearest pub ? Can I walk ?
Information on place to eat can be found on our website with their web address to be able to find them. https://www.quantockglamping.co.uk/explore The nearest pub the Maypole Inn is a 20 minute brisk walk.
How far is the nearest shop ?
The nearest shop would be in the local village of North Petherton. This is a 5 minute car journey or 30 minute walk.
Are under 5 allowed to stay with us for free in a travel cot ?
No we are sorry but this Owls Roost is not designed for children and provides adult only accommodation.
PETS
As we are a working farm, please do not bring your pets on holiday with you.
